Experience an early morning hike to the summit of Mount Batur and witness one of Bali’s most iconic sunrise views. This adventure takes you along volcanic trails in the cool mountain air, creating a calm yet exciting trekking experience before the island fully wakes up.

Begin your early morning journey with our Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Adventure. An experienced driver will pick you up from your hotel between 1:15 AM and 2:30 AM, depending on your location, before heading to the Mount Batur starting point, where you’ll arrive around 3:30 AM. A short safety briefing will be provided before the trek begins.

Accompanied by flashlights and guided under the starlit sky, you’ll hike through the cool morning air toward the summit, reaching the top between 5:30 and 6:00 AM. From the summit, enjoy a spectacular sunrise with panoramic views over the valleys, Lake Batur, and the distant silhouette of Mount Agung — a truly unforgettable sight.

While taking in the scenery, a simple breakfast will be served, including a banana sandwich, steamed eggs, and hot beverages to help you relax and recharge after the climb. After sunrise, you may choose to descend immediately or take some time to explore the main crater area, where friendly mountain monkeys are often seen.

You’ll arrive back at the base by approximately 8:30 AM. On the return journey, you may opt for a short visit to a local coffee plantation or head directly back to your hotel, arriving around 9:00 AM and bringing your volcano trekking experience to a perfect close.
